Volkl - Deacon line

The Volkl Deacon ski is a fairly new ski line that dates back to the 2018/19 season, when, after receiving brilliant feedback after testing, it was released for the first time. The Deacon skis feature all the technologies that the Volkl Racetiger has, but differ in waist, making the Deacons a more versatile ski.

Multilayer Woodcore

Multilayer woodcore found in half of the ski's cross-section, made from the finest poplar wood, reinforced with beech wood in the binding mounting area.

Tip&Tail Rocker

The rocker camber occurs only in the tip area and the back of the ski, with traditional camber under the binding. This allows the skis to perform better in powder snow and to transition better from edge to edge.

3D.Ridge

Extremely efficient, striking Völkl ski design. 3D.Ridge is a distinctive carbon ridge that runs the entire length of the board. Underneath it is a wooden core that provides more rigidity and better stability. It is thickest at the binding point, where the ski transmits the greatest forces. Going the direction of the front, rear and edge, the thickness of the core is reduced, and its role of providing stiffness and stability is taken over by a carbon shell and UVO vibration damper. This shape of the core, combined with the new geometry, significantly reduces the inertia of the ski at the extremes and allows a harmonious distribution of its stiffness, thus increasing ground feel. Increased lateral stiffness, due to its immediate response to the skier's impulses, makes it easier to maneuver the ski. The resulting low weight of the ski, while retaining handling characteristics, incredibly enhances the capabilities of the equipment. The dynamics of the 3D.Ridge skis can be confidently compared to very light Formula 1 cars with high-powered engines.

Volkl 3D.GLASS

3D.GLASS is Volkl engineers' idea of stiffening skis for the allmountain category. Conditions on the ski slopes vary, often very challenging. The answer to this challenge is to reinforce the skis with a three-dimensional layer of fiberglass along the entire length and width of the board - including over the edges.

Full sidewall

Complete sidewall construction with overlapping laminate for uncompromising durability. Direct and strong power transmission from the full length of the sidewall.

Titanal frame

Frame consisting of two parts of titanal. The first, thicker one is located along the side edges, at the tip and heel of the ski, thus providing stability and cushioning. The second, thinner layer is located under the binding. It provides optimal performance and better binding hold.

Polyethylene Slide Base P-Tex 4504

Sintered polyethylene mass with very high density in addition to high abrasion resistance and excellent wax absorption, P-Tex 4504 is extremely fast. It is used only in the highest models of racing skis. The material has been enhanced with special additives, providing increased slip and maximum speed during racing.

Zebra structure

Very clear and deep glide structure offering the best possible precision and ease of turning for skis designed for groomed slopes.
