The Racetiger SL Master knows no compromise and is the most distinctive ski in our collection (outside of the competition skis). Equipped with the latest technologies that Völkl currently offers on the slopes, the skis give access to tremendous possibilities in sport skiing. The two main factors behind the success are Tailored Carbon Tips and a wood core made of ash - the latter solution has so far only been used in our WC series. Tailored Carbon Tips are created using a demanding process that involves threading carbon fibers onto canvas to carefully engineer the torsion in the tip area. The result is the precision of tip activation and a new experience in the area of energy accumulation already at the initiation of a turn. The accumulated energy is distributed along the solid ash core along the entire length of the ski and activated at the end of a turn. A short Tip Rocker profile and full titanal cover, full-length sidewalls, 3D.Glass and a sporty P-Tex 4505 coating complete this highly sporty design. With a center width of just 67mm and a radius of 12.6m and a pre-installed WC plate (10mm), the impressively stable Racetiger SL Master is predestined for extremely tight, short, made-to-measure turns at the most ambitious speeds.

WC ASH WOODCORE

One technical solution that has a huge impact on the skis' downhill behavior is a high-quality core made of solid ash, extending the entire length of the ski. This extremely flexible, hard wood, which until now has only been used in the production of competition skis for World Cup events, acts as an energy accumulator: when the skis are bent on entering a turn, the fibers stretch and absorb stress forces. Then, when exiting a turn, the stored energy is released in a controlled manner, giving the skis extraordinary dynamism. The unique stretching properties of ash also make the ski perfectly adaptable to the ground. This ensures maximum stability and reliability, resulting in an exceptionally smooth ride.

Tip rocker

The structure of the ski is curved upward only in the bow zone, while the middle and back of the ski is straightened due to its own tension. This makes the skis more agile and better able to handle bumps.

Tailored Carbon Tips

New carbon beaks that are perfectly tailored to the user's needs - that's right, Tailored Carbon Tips - are created during an innovative manufacturing process whereby individual carbon fibers are placed on a support material. The use of fibers of a specific thickness and their placement with millimeter precision allows you to perfectly adjust the stiffness, twist and thus the properties of the skis. The fibers ensure that dynamic forces are brought to the areas of the ski where they are needed. The Tailored Carbon Tips used in the ski, which are visible from the outside, are lightweight, allow smooth bow reactions with less effort, and quickly store energy. Thus, the tailored carbon prows set new standards for precision, direct response and the enjoyment of active downhill skiing.

Volkl 3D.GLASS

3D.GLASS is Volkl engineers' idea of stiffening skis for the allmountain category. Conditions on the ski slopes vary, often very challenging. The answer to this challenge is to reinforce the skis with a three-dimensional layer of fiberglass along the entire length and width of the board - including over the edges.

Polyethylene Slide Base P-Tex 4504

Sintered polyethylene mass with very high density in addition to high abrasion resistance and excellent wax absorption, P-Tex 4504 is extremely fast. It is used only in the highest models of racing skis. The material has been enhanced with special additives, providing increased slip and maximum speed during racing.
