Skis Volkl Racetiger SL with rMotion bindings v2310004-nd

Since 1970, when Völkl introduced the Renntiger series, there hasn't been a ski that has represented performance and success as much as the Racetiger. In slalom, or generally on the slopes in short turns, and wherever you need fast edge changes, responsiveness and fantastic glide along the entire length of the ski, the Racetiger SL is the best option. For the upcoming season, we have used Tailored Carbon Tips for the first time in the Racetiger SL. Perfectly matched carbon fibers allow the skis to be optimally adapted to their area of use. The thickness and arrangement of the fibers determine the force needed and accumulate energy where it is needed. Thus, they enable agility and precise tip response in the initial phase of a turn. The new SL skis require less power, yet still guarantee ultra-precise steering in short turns.
The improved handling are largely due to a shortened and flattened Tip Rocker and a slightly revised geometry. The narrower mid-width enhances riding dynamics, reduces reaction time and allows for precise edge changes.
Complementing integral elements such as 3D Glass, a two-layer full-face titanal insert and the prized Multilayer Woodcore core, is the new R-Motion 3 GW binding. The shorter plate, combined with a wider hole spacing, gives a more direct power transfer with more pressure and allows faster edge changes. The key, however, was to dispense with the fixed mounting of the two rear screws, so the binding can be moved freely and the ski gives better edge hold through harmonious movement without locking along the entire camber line.
