Multilayer Woodcore Light

The combination of beech and poplar wood resulted in a durable core. The low weight is ensured by using harder wood in the binding area and lighter wood in the rest.

3D.Ridge Carbon

The most extreme, striking yet effective ski design. A symbol of VÖLKL's modern ski-making philosophy. Ultra-thin, three-dimensional carbon construction with wood core. In the middle of the ski, in the binding zone, where the ski transmits the greatest forces, a wooden core, supported by the Sidewall, fills the entire cross-section of the ski. Moving toward the front, rear and edges, the thickness of the core is reduced, and the role of providing stiffness and stability is taken over by a carbon shell. This core shape, combined with the new geometry, reduces the inertia of the ski at its extremes and allows for a harmonious distribution of flex along the entire length of the ski. An additional feature that cannot be overlooked is the fantastic feel of the ground. The low weight, while retaining handling characteristics incredibly enhances the capabilities of these skis. With increased lateral stiffness, we increase the maneuverability of the skis, resulting from the instantaneous response to the impulses with which the skier controls the skis. Their dynamics can be compared to lightweight sports cars with engines of enormous power.

Ice Off Topsheet

Thanks to the light-colored top surface with a special structure, snow and ice do not stick to the skis as a result - during approaches - we will carry an average of 30% less weight. We can use the energy thus saved for a good dose of snowmobiling.

Polyethylene Slide Base P-Tex 4504

Sintered polyethylene mass with very high density in addition to high abrasion resistance and excellent wax absorption, P-Tex 4504 is extremely fast. It is used only in the highest models of racing skis. The material has been enhanced with special additives, providing increased slip and maximum speed during racing.

Brushed structure

A superficial and shallow glide structure that is ideal for wide skis with off-piste characteristics. It guarantees maximum agility and easy turning.
