An all-mountain freerider with cutting-edge design and an extremely wide range of use for experienced skiers who celebrate powerful turns on any terrain and on any piste. Like the Mantra and Kenja models, the Kendo 88 also has a different geometry and a one-meter shorter center radius in 3D Radius Sidecut. The key is that the three different radii combined in one ski make for enormously versatile turning. A 16-meter radius at the center further increases the variability of the radius. In particular, lovers of tight, full-edge and cut turns get their money's worth here. On the one hand, this allows for a particularly sporty and intuitive skiing on groomed trails, but also guarantees the necessary maneuverability on demanding terrain. Thanks to the shortened center radius, less power is needed. The Kendo 88 now also features custom carbon bits and a custom titanium frame. Tailored technologies - exclusively from Völkl.
Tailored Titanal Frame, used in Mantra, Secret, Kendo and Kenji, is a development of the well-known Titanal frame. Thanks to this design, the width of the Titanal top belt can be adjusted to the length of the ski and the resulting torsional stiffness, as well as the required shock absorbing behavior of the skier. The titanal content is reduced for shorter ski lengths, so even smaller or lighter skiers can get the most out of their skis with little effort. The Kendo 88 is extremely versatile thanks to its custom carbon tips. Carbon fibers applied using the Tailored Fibre Placement (TFP for short) process allow for optimal control of turning. The thickness and arrangement of the fibers determine the required effort and accumulation of energy exactly where it is needed. The agile retraction of the blades is particularly positive. This means that right at the start of the turn, you can control the ski in the turn in a controlled and easy way. It's safe to say that all you have to do is think of a diversion and you're done. In addition, this design reduces weight without sacrificing stability.
Kendo 88 with Tip & Tail Rocker also features a proven multi-layer wood core, surrounded by a continuous sidewall and P-Tex 2100 base.

Tailored Carbon Tips

New carbon beaks that are perfectly tailored to the user's needs - that's right, Tailored Carbon Tips - are created during an innovative manufacturing process whereby individual carbon fibers are placed on a support material. The use of fibers of a specific thickness and their placement with millimeter precision allows you to perfectly adjust the stiffness, twist and thus the properties of the skis. The fibers ensure that dynamic forces are brought to the areas of the ski where they are needed. The Tailored Carbon Tips used in the ski, which are visible from the outside, are lightweight, allow smooth bow reactions with less effort, and quickly store energy. Thus, the tailored carbon prows set new standards for precision, direct response and the enjoyment of active downhill skiing.
