The history of Camilla brand started 14 years ago on Bondi beach in Sydney. It was set up by Camilla Franks who was always inspired by the beautiful surrounding of the Australian beach. The designer is passionate about travelling, visits distant places and discovers new cultures that inspire her to create new collections that feature exceptional women’s and men’s clothes, beach apparel, accessories and interior furnishings. The designer says: "My vision is to awaken the adventurous spirit that resides within all us because we believe that everyone has a right to experience freedom and feel joy. We embrace all walks of life, as we believe it is everyone’s right to feel beautiful no matter their age, shape or race."

The latest collection by Camilla is inspired by her travel to Japan. The designer was impressed by Japanese ceremonies, architecture, art and national costumes. She created a collection that is a combination of tradition and modern style. The name “The girl I was, the woman I am” refers to the designer’s experience associated with universal rituals that adult women pass to young girls regardless of their culture. The collection describes a woman’s journey from childhood to adulthood. The designer opts for girly style and airy fabrics that create new image of femininity.
