The DOLOMITE VELOCE GTX is a low, high-mountain boot designed for hiking in technical mountain terrain and crossing glaciers. They are also ideal for all types of ridge crossings, easy climbing routes and via ferrata.
Thanks to the stiff sole and reinforced heel, they allow the fitting of semi-automatic crampons.
Thanks to their low weight, even demanding ascents in difficult terrain will prove less tiring in them.
The upper of this model is made of technical Perspair® material. It is characterised by increased durability, excellent breathability and anatomical fit. The raised upper guarantees good support and stabilisation of the ankle, while ensuring full mobility.
The front part of the shoes is protected by a special rubber boot. It is designed to protect the toes from impact with rocky terrain elements and accidental wetness on contact with moisture.
The high level of protection against water is due to the Gore-Tex® membrane used in these boots. Thanks to it, your feet will always remain dry and protected from the cold on rainy days. The breathable (vapour-permeable) membrane is also responsible for wicking away moisture from the inside of the boots. In situations of intense activity, it will not allow excess moisture to accumulate on the skin. As a result, it ensures optimum thermal comfort.
The Vibram® Nanga Lite Base Outsole used in this model guarantees high grip and excellent cushioning. It performs excellently on both wet and dry ground.
