The Deuter Freescape Pro 40+10 is a versatile backpack for ambitious alpine skiers, designed for technically demanding multi-day excursions.

The heart of the backpack is the Deuter Alpine carry system. For use in climbing regions, it is essential to ensure an optimum balance between carrying comfort, durability and functionality in terms of weight. The two pads with soft straps flexibly embrace the back with every movement, so that, in combination with the streamlined shape of the backpack, the load is always close to the body's centre of gravity, guaranteeing full control.

Strong shoulder straps with soft finish, adjustable chest strap, load adjustment straps and adjustable hip belt ensure an individual fit for the user.

The backpack has a flexible Delrin® U-shaped frame, which distributes its weight evenly. This design allows the backpack to fit better, balance the weight appropriately and transfer some of the load to the hips.

The main compartment, which is concealed under the flap, successfully accommodates the essentials for a multi-day expedition. It also contains a pocket compatible with a reservoir system with a capacity of up to 3 litres. It can also be accessed from the back thanks to a wide opening with a waterproof zip. A smaller compartment, also closed with a waterproof zip, is ideal for storing probes and shovels so that avalanche equipment can be accessed quickly in an emergency. Meanwhile, a small pocket on the waist belt allows you to keep small essentials within easy reach.

On the flap protecting the main compartment is a zipped pocket, also with a waterproof zip. It will be ideal for storing valuables and other small items. By loosening the straps of the flap, we can increase the capacity of the backpack by up to an additional 10l. There is also a small pocket on the side of the backpack for storing a smartphone.

The backpack has straps for attaching, an axe-check, trekking poles, a whistle on the chest strap attachment loops for a helmet holder, an integrated and removable helmet net and a climbing rope belt. There is a goggle or goggle holder on the ergonomically padded shoulder straps.

Two dedicated straps attached to the backpack loops allow skis, snowboard or snowshoes to be attached to the backpack in an instant - skis diagonally translated at the back or in the A-frame, snowboard or snowshoes in the upright position. These versatile gear straps can also be used as compression straps.

The loop on the hip fin keeps the carabiners from the climbing kit. This, combined with the compact, comfortable fit of the backpack, ensures greater safety when climbing.

The backpack has been made from extremely strong yet lightweight materials that contain no environmentally harmful PFCs.
