The Blaze 114 is as wide as its range of use. In addition it is also produced in an environmentally friendly way. Völkl uses a recycled base and only FSC-certified wood in combination with the new Green Core technology. The Isocore inside the wood core is made of recycled PET bottles instead of the conventional PU foam. When it comes to riding performance, the Blaze 114 is destined for off-piste adventures. Thanks to its efficient weight-performance ratio, it is also quite suitable as a freeride touring ski. But it really comes to life on the downhill. The rather narrow 18 m radius in relation to a ski length of 192 cm delivers a maneuverability previously unknown in this category. This is additionally supported by an open radius both at the shovel and at the tail combined with tip & tail rocker. To enable smooth running at high speeds, a 0.3 mm thin titanal sheet was added to the 3D Radius Sidecut in the center of the ski right above the sidewall. Thus, the ski can be controlled with great precision - you will notice this in every turn initiation. By the way, these riding characteristics also work really well on the occasional on-slope rides too! To keep the all-mountain ski as agile as possible, no titanal is used in the outer areas front and rear. The Blaze is designed with increasing flex in relation to the length of the ski, so that larger or heavier riders benefit from the same driving characteristics as the smaller or lighter riders with shorter ski lengths.

The weight of just 1430 g (Blaze 86), 1455 g (Blaze 94), 1593 g (Blaze 106), 1290 g (Blaze 86W), 1455 g (Blaze 94W) or 1592 g (Blaze 106W) translates not only into excellent maneuverability for this new category of skis, but also facilitates approaches whenever a skier decides to put on the skins and venture out in search of even better conditions. Multilayer Woodcore

Multilayer woodcore found in half of the ski's cross-section, made from the finest poplar wood, reinforced with beech wood in the binding mounting area.

Tip&Tail Rocker

The rocker camber occurs only in the tip area and the back of the ski, with traditional camber under the binding. This allows the skis to perform better in powder snow and to transition better from edge to edge.

Suspension Tips & Tails

Insertions on the tip and back of the ski made of TPU, or thermoplastic polyurethane. They act like a shock absorber - they cancel out ski vibrations. TPU is a special plastic with similar properties to elastic rubber. TPU is pliable and flexible, and does not change its properties under the influence of low temperatures, as well as during the influence of other weather conditions.
