With a waist of 102 mm, the Mantra 102 is perfect for both off-piste and on-piste skiing. In addition to its impressive off-piste performance, the Mantra 102 is also ideal for versatile freeride skiing on the slopes.
The geometry of this model with 3D Radius Sidecut and a centre radius reduced by one metre to 19 m not only places the ski in our All Mountain collection, but also makes it suitable for use absolutely everywhere. The new Tailored Carbon Tips in combination with the Tailored Titanal Frame open up completely new creative possibilities. This means that the Mantra 102 skis are certainly sporty, but also relaxed and allow you to achieve results not only off the beaten track, but also on the slopes. In the Tailored Titanal Frame construction, the width of the upper titanal strip can be adjusted to the length of the ski. The resulting torsional rigidity and desired damping properties can be customised to the skier's requirements. The titanium content is reduced for shorter skis, which means that shorter and lighter skiers can get the most out of their skis without exerting too much effort. The new Tailored Carbon Tips made of carbon fibre make the Mantra skis extremely versatile. With Tailored Fibre Placement (TFP), carbon fibres, Volker engineers can influence the arc characteristics with high precision. The fibre strength and fibre orientation determine the amount of force you need to apply and the energy that is stored where it is needed. The agile turn initiation is a special feature. This means that you can steer the skis in a measurable and easy way as soon as you start turning. In other words, you just have to think about changing direction – and you're done. This design also made it possible to reduce the weight of the ski without compromising its stability. A multi-layer wood core, a full sidewall and P-Tex 2100 base complete the specification of this freeride model with tip and tail rocker.
