Völkl Rise 80 is a ski touring ski designed as a universal model for recreational and advanced skiers. The design combines low weight for easier approaches with downhill characteristics similar to classic all-mountain skis.

Key technologies and performance effects:

Tourlite Woodcore - an ultra-lightweight core of beech wood under the binding and poplar and paulownia in the outer zones provides resilience, durability and low weight.
VTA Superlite Outline - optimised ski outline reduces weight without compromising stability.
Moderate Taper - slightly tapered tips improve steering precision and manoeuvrability.
Tip Rocker - gently raised tip facilitates turn initiation and control at lower speeds.
Base P-Tex 2100 - sintered base with low friction and high wear resistance.
Ice.Off Topsheet - structure that reduces snow and ice adhesion, helping to keep weight down during approaches.
Skin Pin - skin attachment system for fast and stable insertion during skydiving.
Bindings - FLAT version, ski without bindings and without plate, allowing individual selection of skit bindings.
