Details and description

Völkl Mantra 84 Demo FDT skis with Marker Squire 11 TCX D 90 mm bindings. All-mountain skis with a distinct freeride properties, designed for advanced skiers who want to combine on-trail precision with off-piste capabilities. The narrow waist of 84 mm and Tip & Tail Rocker provide quick transitions from edge to edge and smooth turn initiation in varying conditions.

Key technologies and user benefits:

Multilayer Woodcore – a core made of harder wood under the binding and lighter wood along the edges ensures stability and good shock absorption.
Tailored Titanal Frame – an individually tailored Titanal frame increases torsional stiffness and stability on hard surfaces.
Tailored Carbon Tips – directionally arranged carbon fibers improve tip response and facilitate precise entry into turns.
3D Radius Sidecut – three radii of the sidecut enable dynamic short turns and stability in wide arcs.
Full Sidewall – full sidewalls increase the precision of power transfer.
Tip & Tail Rocker – the raised tip and tail improve handling in soft and variable snow.
Base P-Tex 2100 – a durable, abrasion-resistant base with low friction.
Bindings – Marker Squire 11 TCX D 90 mm on FDT Free plate – DIN range 3–11, ensuring smooth energy transfer and full structural compatibility.

Intended use and operating conditions: all-mountain with a freeride character, sporty on-trail skiing, dynamic turns in variable snow, and occasional off-trail skiing.

Interesting fact: thanks to the Tailored Titanal Frame, each length of the Mantra 84 has a uniquely selected amount of Titanal, optimizing its stiffness and balance.
