Details and description

Völkl Mantra 88 Demo FDT skis with Marker Griffon 13 D 90 mm bindings. Modern all-mountain skis with a sporty, freeride properties, designed for skiers who expect precise control and high dynamics while skiing. The center width of 88 mm and Tip & Tail Rocker provide quick reactions and confident handling on the trail and in variable snow conditions.

Key technologies and user effects:

Multilayer Woodcore – a core made with harder wood underfoot and lighter wood at the edges increases stability and improves vibration dampening.
Tailored Titanal Frame – an individually tailored Titanal frame increases torsional stiffness and stability at high speeds.
Tailored Carbon Tips – directional carbon fibers placed at the tip enhance turn initiation and responsiveness.
3D Radius Sidecut – three radii in the sidecut allow for confident handling in short turns and stability in long arcs.
Full Sidewall – full sidewalls provide precise energy transfer to the edge.
Tip & Tail Rocker – raised tips facilitate skiing in soft snow and quick transitions from edge to edge.
Base P-Tex 2100 – a durable, abrasion-resistant base with low friction.
Bindings – Marker Griffon 13 D 90 mm on FDT Free plate – ensure smooth energy transfer and full structural compatibility.

Intended use and conditions: all-mountain with an emphasis on sporty, dynamic turns on the trail, with full control in variable and churned snow, as well as the ability to ski off-piste.

Interesting fact: Tailored Carbon Tips in the Mantra 88 are arranged to improve maneuverability and facilitate turn initiation without increasing the tip stiffness.
