Details and description

Völkl Mantra 88 W FLAT versatile all-mountain skis with a freeride properties, designed for experienced female skiers who expect high stability, smooth response, and precise control in any conditions. The Tip & Tail Rocker profile facilitates turn initiation and increases confidence on soft and chopped-up snow.

Key technologies and user effects:

Multilayer Woodcore – a multi-layer core with harder wood underfoot and lighter wood on the edges stabilizes the ski and improves vibration dampening.
Tailored Titanal Frame – individually tailored Titanal frame increases torsional stiffness and control, adapting the character to the length of the ski.
Tailored Carbon Tips – carbon fibers in the tips improve agility, turn initiation, and precise ski response.
3D Radius Sidecut – three radii of the sidecut allow for a combination of short, dynamic turns with smooth arcs at higher speeds.
Full Sidewall – full sidewall ensures direct power transfer to the edge.
Tip & Tail Rocker – raised tips enhance maneuverability and confidence in varied terrain.
Base P-Tex 2100 – high abrasion resistance and low friction base.
Bindings – FLAT version – skis without bindings and plates allow for individual selection.

Intended use and conditions: all-mountain with a strong freeride inclination, dynamic on-trail performance, full control in variable snow, and occasional off-trail excursions.

Interesting fact: in the Mantra 88 W, the middle radius has been shortened by one meter, increasing the diversity of turns and reducing the effort needed to control the ski.
