Details and description

Völkl Racetiger GS R JR skis with Marker COMP 10 bindings. Junior giant slalom skis designed for young athletes developing their alpine skiing technique. The construction features two layers of Titanal, Torsional Soft Tip, and a geometry optimized for skiing between gates, providing stability, precise entry into turns, and strong edge grip.

Key technologies and performance effects:

Multilayer Woodcore – in lengths of 130–151 cm, the core uses beech and poplar in a 50/50 ratio, while in lengths of 158–170 cm, it’s 73/27. The greater share of harder beech in the longer skis increases stiffness and stability of the construction.
Full Titanal – two full layers of Titanal increase stability, damping, and torsional rigidity on hard snow.
Torsional Soft Tip – a more flexibly twisted tip area supports precise turn initiation.
Full Sidewall ABS – provides direct power transfer and strong edge grip.
Tip Rocker – facilitates entry into turns while maintaining the ski's sporty characteristics.
Base P-Tex 4504 – a highly abrasion-resistant base designed for sport performance.
Bindings – Marker COMP 10 on Marker Jr. Race Interface 2.0 L – DIN range 3–10, the system ensures direct power transfer and a stable connection between the ski and binding.

Intended use and conditions: junior giant slalom, training, and competitions on hard, prepared slopes.

Interesting fact: the construction of the Racetiger GS R JR is progressively designed with respect to the length of the ski – not only do the proportions of wood in the core change, but also the thickness of the Titanal layers to match the character of the ski to the young athlete.
