With its proprietary two-layer Helly Tech® Performance membrane, it provides a high level of waterproofness and wind resistance. Even better protection against moisture is helped by the sealed seams and the protection of the material with a water-resistant DWR coating made without the use of environmentally harmful fluorocarbon compounds.

The microporous construction of the Helly Tech® Performance membrane also participates in the wicking of moisture that occurs on the surface of the skin during exercise. As a result, it helps to maintain optimal comfort, thermal performance and freshness. A fully recycled, quick-drying mesh lining enhances the jacket's comfort.

Helly Hansen Newport W Newport Inshore Jacket is fastened with a full-length reliable YKK® zip secured with an additional storm flap to keep water out. The raised fleece-lined collar does not restrict movement, effectively protects against gusts of wind and cold and is pleasant, non-irritating against the skin, while the regular cut allows great freedom of movement.

The jacket has two hand pockets with combed fleece lining. Velcro adjustable sleeve cuffs and a drawstring bottom edge further adjust the jacket to the body and prevent wind and water from entering. The adjustable hood can be stowed in the collar if necessary.

The robust material will withstand all the hardships of sailing as well as time spent outside the boat. Reflective SOLAS panels and a hanging loop complete the functionality.
