The CORTAL RACE MIPS is the latest and most advanced MTB bike helmet in the POC brand's range. It is designed for aggressive trail (trail) and enduro riding.
An innovative element of this model is the use of the latest incarnation of MIPS® Integra technology. Its purpose is to counteract the effects of accidents where the head is hit at an angle (diagonally). During an accident, the MIPS® Integra system allows the helmet to rotate in relation to the head. As a result, it reduces the force of the impact and better protects the brain.
The helmet has an integrated NFC Medical ID chip giving rescuers access to your medical data at the scene of an accident. The integrated RECCO reflector helps the services to find you more easily. The NFC chip can be easily read by holding an NFC-enabled smartphone over the helmet to instantly give rescuers the information they need at the scene and support them in making the best assessments for treatment immediately after an accident.
Thanks to the heavily developed design of the occipital area, the KORTAL RACE MIPS offers increased protection for the back of the head than traditional mountain helmet models. Thanks to its massive air intakes, it also features an exceptionally efficient ventilation system
The KORTAL RACE MIPS model has an adjustable and replaceable visor that comes off the helmet safely in the event of an accident. It is fully compatible with bicycle goggles and goggles.
The helmet is also certified for use with electric bicycles. It thus meets the Dutch standard NTA8776, which tests helmets at higher impact speeds than standard bicycle use.
