Timeless brand with Italian roots

The beginnings of Fila date back to 1911 when four brothers from Biela, small village in the Alps, produced winter apparel. They had a common goal; they wanted to combine good quality materials, classic design, and functionality. In 1923 they set up a brand that initially focused on the production of underwear, later Fila gained recognition outside Italy. In 1974, the brand revolutionized tennis fashion. White Line collection by Pier Luigi Ronaldo was provocative, simple, and honest. Ronaldo made the sports collection international. FILA added colors to its design and became popular all over the world. To this day, FILA is the synonym for sophisticated style and Italian manufacturing, its apparel is worn not only by sportsmen but also people on the streets and models on catwalks. More than one hundred years of success is casued by innovative attitude and the philosophy of constant development. The brand is still creating a design that is not only functional but also trendy and interesting. FILA became an iconic brand that has its place in pop culture.

Functional sportswear and stylish urban look

In 20th century sport and especially tennis gained appreciation and popularity. FILA quickly realized that sportswear has a huge role, it should support contenders and provide freedom of movement. Many famous sportsmen including tennis player Björn Borg or extreme mountaineer Reinhold Messner identify with the brand’s philosophy . Up to now, FILA has cooperated with many sportsmen. Moreover, the brand is the main sponsor of Porsche Tennis Grand Prix Tournament in Struttgard and the official partner of tennis players including Marin Čilić and Karolina Plíšková. Until 2022, FILA has been equipping Dutch representation.

Creating the best sportswear is the main goal of the brand. However, FILA’s design conquered the world of fashion. FILA started the fashion for chunky sports shoes, its Distruptor model became all the rage and it’s worn on the streets of metropolis. Since 2017, FILA has cooperated with Fendi, their designs were presented on world famous fashion shows.
