The Dolomite 54 High Fg Evo GTX is a versatile men's high trekking boot that combines the aesthetics of the iconic 54 model with the latest technologies used in mountain footwear.
For this model, the Dolomite brand focuses on sustainability, so the upper of the boots is made from oiled suede leather from eco-friendly LWG-certified tanneries, and the lining is made from certified 100% recycled mesh. The lining, on the other hand, is OEKO-TEX 100® certified. The comfortable insole, as well as the laces, have been made from recycled, GRS certified materials.
They have been designed for mountain hiking in easy terrain and wide-ranging touring. They are also perfect for a weekend trip out of town or an active backpacking holiday.
The high level of protection against water is due to the Gore-Tex® membrane used in these boots. Thanks to it, your feet will always remain dry and protected from the cold on rainy days. The breathable (vapour-permeable) membrane is also responsible for wicking away moisture from inside the boots. In situations of intense activity, it will not allow excess moisture to accumulate on the skin. As a result, it ensures optimum thermal comfort.
The front of the shoes is protected by a special rubber boot. Its purpose is to protect the toes from impact with the terrain elements and accidental wetness on contact with moisture.
An essential element of the boots is the Dolomite brand's DAS Light system, which is made from recycled materials. It consists of an anatomically shaped inner insole, providing a comfortable fit, reducing fatigue and taking care to preserve the natural biomechanics of the foot.
The Vibram® Ice Trek 2 sole used in this model guarantees high grip and stability on uneven ground. Its medium hardness will be suitable for most hikes in both mountain and forest terrain. The Vibram® outsole is made of an Eco-Step compound, which is derived from recycled materials. In turn, the EVA foam in the sole effectively absorbs and dampens the unevenness of the terrain on which we tread.
