The DOLOMITE 54 LOW EVO GTX is a versatile trekking boot that combines the aesthetics of the iconic 54 model with the latest technologies used in mountain footwear. With this model, the DOLOMITE brand focuses on sustainability, so the upper of the boots is made from leather from LWG-certified organic tanneries and the lining is made from certified 100% recycled mesh.
They are designed for mountain hiking in easy terrain and wide-ranging touring. They will also prove ideal for a weekend trip out of town as well as an active backpacking holiday.
The high level of protection against water is due to the Gore-Tex® Extended Comfort membrane used in these boots. Thanks to this, your feet will always remain dry and protected from the cold on rainy days. The breathable (vapour-permeable) membrane is also responsible for wicking away moisture from the inside of the boots. In situations of intense activity, it will not allow excess moisture to accumulate on the skin. As a result, it ensures optimum thermal comfort.
The front part of the shoes is protected by a special rubber boot. Its purpose is to protect the toes from impact with the elements of the terrain and from accidental wetting on contact with moisture.
An essential component of the boots is the DOLOMITE-developed DAS Light system , which is made from recycled materials. It consists of an anatomically shaped inner insole, providing a comfortable fit, reducing fatigue and taking care to preserve the natural biomechanics of the foot.
The Vibram® Predator II sole used on this model guarantees high grip and stability on uneven ground. Its medium hardness will be suitable for most hikes in both mountain and forest terrain. The Vibram® outsole is made of an Eco-Step compound, which comes from recycled materials. The EVA foam in the sole, on the other hand, effectively absorbs and dampens the unevenness of the terrain we tread on.
