Even better protection against moisture is helped by sealed seams and the protection of the material with a water-resistant DWR coating, made without the use of environmentally harmful fluorocarbon compounds.

The microporous construction of the Helly Tech® Performance membrane also participates in the wicking of moisture that occurs on the surface of the skin during exercise. As a result, it helps to maintain optimal comfort, thermal performance and freshness. A fully recycled, quick-drying mesh lining adds to the jacket's comfort.

Helly Hansen Newport W Newport Inshore Jacket is fastened with a full-length reliable YKK® zip, secured with an additional storm flap to keep water out. The raised collar, padded with fleece lining, does not restrict movement, effectively protects against gusts of wind and cold, is pleasant against the skin, and the regular cut gives great freedom of movement.

The jacket has two hand pockets with combed fleece lining. Sleeve cuffs are adjustable with Velcro and the lower edge is tightened with drawstrings, further enhancing the fit of the jacket and preventing wind and water from entering. The adjustable hood can be tucked into the collar if required.
